ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Northex Environnement’s field of expertise is the
environment. Our soil decontamination and beneficiation
operations contribute to ensuring a sustainable environment for
present and future generations. The company has a soil treatment
plant capable of restoring soils contaminated with organic and
mixed (organic and inorganic) pollutants. Our beneficiation
processes give new life to previously contaminated soils,
allowing them to be put back to work.
In keeping with its mission, Northex Environnement takes all
action deemed necessary to preserve the environment and
undertakes the following:
- to comply with all environmental legislation (laws and
regulations) to which it is subject;
- to find ways of improving existing methods and explore
new processes and procedures with a view to enhancing the
overall effectiveness of its soil remediation operations;
- to establish and maintain objectives and targets that
take into account significant environmental impacts;
- to eliminate or reduce hazardous and harmful air, water
and soil emissions;
- to promote the reuse, recycling and recovery of
resources at its disposal;
- to monitor environmental programs and ensure that
corporate management systems meet the highest quality
standards;
- to prevent, identify, assess and manage environmental
risks;
- to develop and keep current emergency response plans in
the interests of protecting the environment, workers and the
general public;
- to encourage dialogue with our employees and the public
and respond to their environmental concerns;
- to ensure that our employees appreciate and assume their
environmental protection responsibilities;
- to conduct annual environmental audits of all Northex
Environnement operations in accordance with corporate
policies, standards and procedures;
- to ensure that our employees are familiar with this
policy and make it available to the public.
This policy reflects firm commitments on the part of
Northex Environnement to continually improve its performance
as a valuable contributor to environmental sustainability, and
to review its policy and commitments as its operations evolve.
