Since 2002, the Loi sur la qualité de l’environnement(LQE) was amended to give the Ministère du développement durable, le l’environnement et de la lutte contre les changements climatiques (MDDELCC) the power of putting together a list of experts authorized to deliver attestations related to the section IV.2.1 of the L.Q.E. and discussing the land protection and remediation. Marie Josée Lamothe, President and Founder of Northex Environnement, is one of these experts, giving Northex all the legitimacy needed to complete its consulting and remediation projects.
When environmental remediation work is required, obtaining permits from various governmental authorities is generally required. To this end, Northex Environnement offers the service to collect relevant documentation with stakeholders and present it to the authorities. Land records, response plans and proxies are only a few examples of documents that may be required for obtaining a permit. Once obtained, Northex is responsible for forwarding it to the issuer of the permit.
In the same spirit, it is sometimes required to obtain a certificate of authorization issued by the MDDELCC. According to a customer’s demand, Northex will guide him through the prescribed procedures of the MDDELCC to finally obtain the certificate. By proxy, Northex will also answer questions from the MDDELCC in connection with a remediation project.
